No fatalities in Pretoria plane crash

At least one person was critically injured when a plane crashed near Wonderboom airport in Pretoria on Tuesday 10 July 2018.

According to rescue personnel at the scene approximately 20 people suffered injuries after a passenger plane crashed near Wonderboom airport in Pretoria, Gauteng. Early reports indicate that the plane was scheduled to land at Wonderboom airport.

The aircraft, a Dutch cargo MAC Martin's Air Charter owned by Air France-KLM has crashed in Pretoria near Moloto Road, near Wonderboom airport. There are currently no reports of any casualties and emergency services are at scene.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority said that they have already dispatched a team of investigators to the scene, to start the process of investigating the cause of the accident.

UPDATE: PRETORIA PLANE CRASH:

One person died as a result of injuries sustained when a charter plane crashed near Wonderboom airport in Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon 10 July 2018.

We received information that the pilot of the aircraft was still trapped in the wreckage several hours after the accident and was receiving treatment for critical injuries.

A further three people were critically injured in the accident and 17 more suffered injuries ranging from mild to serious. It has been reported that the charter plane was carrying passengers on an international flight.
